I actually lived in Key West when I was very young. My dad was stationed there while in the Coast Guard. I have no memories of that, however, so I consider this my first time visiting.

Miami
South Beach is known for its beach and party culture and those seem to be the only things to do here. Coming in January, I mostly missed out on the beach part. I’ve never been much of a club person, so the clubbing atmosphere wasn’t very appealing to me. If you’re into that sort of thing, this is probably up there right with Las Vegas for the place to be.

Motorcycle Trip
Feeling bored at work and in need of some adventure, I thought about quitting and riding my motorcycle across the country. Well, about 6 months later here I am writing this in Miami, at the start of the trip. I gave up my apartment, the car is for sale on a consignment lot, and everything I own is in a storage unit. I plan on being on the road for about 2 months, making stops along the Southern part of the States. I’ll be staying in hostels and camping for most of the journey meeting people and exploring the area.

Thailand
Over Thanksgiving, I travelled to Thailand with some friends. Our focus was the southern islands of Koh Pha Ngan and Ko Tao, but we started and ended in Bangkok. My friend, Diana, planned the trip around a party she had heard about called the Full Moon Party which, as the name would suggests, takes place once a month around the full moon. We travelled for 10 days total.
