In January, I had travelled to Vancouver for a conference and really enjoyed the area. So, I planned a trip with a couple of friends to visit in the summer. We rented a cabin in Whistler for a few days and then headed to the city for another few days. It was just a long weekend trip, so this will be a short post.

Whistler

Whistler is a beautiful town in all seasons. There is the mountain itself which has plenty of things to see and do, and there is the surrounding area, with parks like Garibaldi which look amazing. There was a fire ban in effect so we couldn’t have our full glamping experience.

Vancouver

After stopping at a few sites on the way back from Whistler, we stayed at a condo in Yaletown. We rented bikes one day and rode around Stanley Park, and spent another taking a day trip to Victoria. Frankly, I think you can skip Victoria.
